We left on Thursday afternoon, we meaning Jordan, Care Bear (his brother Darin), and myself. Jordan's parents had already been there since the previous weekend and were waiting for us to join. Leanna, Jordan's sis-in-law and super cute nephew, Austin planned on joining us on Friday evening because Leanna had to work. So us 3 took the 3 hour drive to Fish Lake! Not to mention it was probably more than 3 hrs because we kept on stopping! First, we stopped to fill up some gas and propane, then we decided to stop for a shake because this place, 5-Star Drive-in has amazing shakes (I had a cookie dough shake it is was a gold mine!! probably the most cookie dough i've ever had in 1 shake!) ok anyway... After grabbing our Yummy shakes we realized we had not yet bought milk and bread which that ended up being yet another stop! After all of those little stops, we eventually made it!
We just chilled for the first night because it was late when we had arrived. Then next morning we took the 4-wheeler's out to a trail that.. kind of kept leading us to dead ends so... we went fishing, which didnt' work out well either! So pretty much Friday was a planned day that just didn't go as planned! Everything was going wrong! We had to get Jordan a prescription and were going to have Leanna grab it for us but they never called it in, and that is just a long story...pretty much to sum it up Leanna joined us on Saturday morning instead of Friday evening!
Anyway, continuing on, Saturday we decided to wake up and fish, why it is called Fish Lake... I don't know because we were not catching anything! It was actually quite hilarious because everyone else around was catching fish up the yin yang but we got squat! diddly squat! Not to mention it was FREEEEZING! So after reeling in empty fishing lines for over an hour, we returned back to camp to try something else.
After the disappointing fishing, we went to shoot clay pigeons! Which I was actually able to shoot some! It was my first time so I didn't think I would hit a thing but I did! GO ME! :) After shooting for a couple hours, Leanna, Darin, Jordan, & Myself took the 4-wheeler's up a trail to an overlook of the lake! I think this was one of my favorite things. It was so funny riding with Jordan on the 4-wheeler he kept being a brat saying I was going to fast.... when really he went much faster!
On Sunday we drove back to Sandy, sunburned and with no fish... but overall, It was a great weekend!
